And Nationstar has yet to send a letter, call me, anything. huh.gif They haven't reported anything on my reports.

I tried to contact them about a dozen times about a mod, but nothing - no return calls, nothing.

I'm not really sure what to do with that laugh.gif

either they're swamped or you've fallen through the cracks. I bet it's the first. Between Nationstar and their Champion mortgage division they've an avalanche of defaults.

Right... I'm guessing they're overwhelmed. They seem like they're pretty unorganized... I just don't really know what to do. We're letting go of the house, and moving out of state (to where the job I found is).

I have nationstar and have been hovering between 2 and 3 months late since Jan. they call constantly everyday, except when I hit the three month line and the calls stop. I make a payment that brings me back to 2 months and the calls start again. i do not answer their calls. Judging by what I have read on the internet it seems to avoid them is the best way to stall them, at least with Nationstar. They seem to be the worst about helping people remain in their homes. And due to previous experience with them the less they know the better. I had to file bankruptcy about 4 years ago for my business. My lawyer contacted them and told them that I was reaffirming my mortgage, I wasn't even thirty days late at that point. They immediately filed for foreclosure and stopped depositing my payments. Once we got to court the judge bitched them out big time and told them they had to deposit my payments. I was totally caught up, except for their claim I had not been paying. I had proof they had the checks and the judge made them credit them to my account. We still had to meet again in court but they didn't show up, so the judge thru it out.

btw I am not someone who bought a house I could not afford. I have lived here almost 30 years, I refinanced in 2002 to lower my payments and to pay off credit card bills. I had no problem paying my mortgage until I was misdiagnosed with a health problem and forced to get a pacemaker that I did not need. It was not put in right and i had problems with it , they removed it, and then that resulted in a staph infection which caused more health problems. I tried to go back to work before I was fired for being on medical leave, however they stalled and then fired me. Guess they didn't like my million dollar hospital bill going in on the company health program. I have searched for a job and finally found one. hopefully I will be able to stay in my condo long enough to make enough money to catch up.

I see a beach in your sig and you mention a slow foreclosure process.

Are you in Florida by any chance? They have one of the slowest foreclosure timelines in the country. It's not uncommon to see houses delinquent 12 months, before it's finally foreclosed on.

Yep, the house is in FL.

I did receive a letter from them last week that we may not have sufficient homeowners insurance, but... nothing else huh.gif

I say cancel the insurance AND destroy the house especially if the bank wont work with you! biggrin.gif

Foreclosure takes forever in Florida, so they probably haven't gotten to you yet.

Radi8 is probably right. I am sure they are swamped. All you can do is keep trying. Ask for a supervisor and ask for their supervisor. Keep moving up the chain until you can get to an Executive Resolution Team.
