I would like some help with a problem that i have with some student loans. I have loans still showing on my credit report, my main reason for getting them removed is due to the fact that they have a lot of late payment history associated with them. The date of last activity is 9/2002, there is no balance. But this is the statement that the credit bureau sent to me concerning the accounts.

"The results are: Equifax verified that this item belongs to you. Your concern regarding

this item has been noted on the credit file. Paid as agreed accounts that have been paid in full will automatically be deleted ten years after date of last activity. If you
have additional questions about this item please contact: Sallie Mae LSCF, 1002 Arthur Dr, Lynn Haven FL 32444-1683"

All I really want is the late payment history removed, I thought they would be able to be removed this year...(7year reporting will expire) But they are saying 10 years.....how do I go about handling this?

Thanks in advance
centex
The lates will drop at the appropriate time. The positive elements of the account will remain for the ten year window.

Thanks Centex. I feel much better knowing that....6months to wait and credit score should be on the rise again!
