I have been reading and reading but I haven't read anything describing the issue I am having with this medical collection. I have 4 listings on each credit report for the same account #, but different amounts. My reports read:

Medical Buisness Bureau Collection Reported 02/2009, Assigned 04/2005, Creditor Class - Medical/Health Care; Client DR. XXX Amt. $55
Status as of 02/2009 - unpaid; DOFD 09/2004; Balance as of 02/2009 $55; Individual Acct; Acct # xxxxxxxxx Address- XYZ; Phone# xxx

Medical Buisness Bureau Collection Reported 02/2009, Assigned 04/2005, Creditor Class - Medical/Health Care; Client DR. XXX Amt. $70
Status as of 02/2009 - unpaid; DOFD 09/2004; Balance as of 02/2009 $70; Individual Acct; Acct # SAME AS ABOVE; Address- XYZ; Phone# xxx

Medical Buisness Bureau Collection Reported 02/2009, Assigned 04/2005, Creditor Class - Medical/Health Care; Client DR. XXX Amt. $91
Status as of 02/2009 - unpaid; DOFD 09/2004; Balance as of 02/2009 $91; Individual Acct; Acct # SAME AS ABOVE; Address- XYZ; Phone# xxx

Medical Buisness Bureau Collection Reported 02/2009, Assigned 04/2005, Creditor Class - Medical/Health Care; Client DR. XXX Amt. $217
Status as of 02/2009 - unpaid; DOFD 09/2004; Balance as of 02/2009 $217; Individual Acct; Acct # SAME AS ABOVE; Address- XYZ; Phone# xxx

They are all the same dates, doctor, CA, and account number but the amount increases every month and they are each listed seperately on my report. Does that mean that they have 4 derogatory marks on my credit report where it is dropping my score each more for each one? Is the first place where they enter the amt. supposed to be the original debt? I am so confused!

That is just one issue I am having, but I think I will ask questions on one subject per post.

I am addicted to this site I read hours on here everyday. You guys rock!!!

As always, thank you to anyone who has advice or explanations!

bumpity bump ... anybody have any idea how this works?

Thank You

Yes it probably means its treated like four trade lines and each lowers your score.
Good thing is it should make it easier to dispute with the CRA.

Why chats the expert at this...but my guess is you send the med dispute request to verify to each CRA. Also disputing that they are multiple listings for the same disputed accounts. If they cant get the right amount when they verify..they will have to delete.

Did you get your report for free..if so they may take 45 days to verify. So if you can contest on a report you bought..they have 30 days ( worth the cost).

Just my take..I'm still learning myself.

Oh..and dont contact the CA's yet..verify with CRA's first. Check your state to see if your past the SOL ( from DOFD).

I haven't learned how to add previous post stuff in the blue boxes like others do on here, among many other things...lol.

Anyway, after going back and reading more carefully I noticed that the account #'s are slightly different ending in like 30, 40, 50 or something like that. The last account of $217 has a completely different acct #. I also noticed that if you add up the first 3 collections ($55 + $70 + $91) they add up to $216 which is one dollar off from the $217 charge.

I haven't DV'd anything because I am still finishing up on address disputes.

When you send out your 1st DV's is it still suggested to do a blanket dispute such as please show me this acct. was reported correctly with abrogating my rights blah blah blah? Or is it now suggested to start of with the jack attack method?

Do you send of the HIPPA disputes separate than the blanket dispute?

Looking for the best approach and appreciate all and any advice on how to plan my attack. THANK YOU CBers, you give me hope that credit repair might be possible for me. I am hoping to qualify for a home loan by the end of summer.
