hey guys, does anyone know of banks in NYC that i can open a checking account with....even though I have a check in Chexsystems? If so, please let me know. I havent tried Credit Unions because the ones i found were in Brooklyn and you have to live there i think. Thanks

Depending on why you want a checking account, a Walmart Money Card might work for you. This card provides an ABA routing number, a checking account number for direct deposit, and a VISA ATM card. It costs less than $10 upfront, and a range of fees, some of which can be waived with the right level of use.
