Was blindsided today at the mortgage place cause my husbands credit report is showing 12 NSF entries, totaling $944 all from 2002-03 and we were denied a mortgage. There was no reporting agency except for one on all of the entries. I'm not sure if it is in Chex, I ordered that report, but I have no idea where to start to fix this. He thinks he knows what bank he had at the time, so should I start there, or wait to get the report?

More and more banks are reporting this to the CRAs and not just chexsystems. You have a right to see a copy of the credit report since you were denied. Anything on chexsystems will be removed after 5 years and if it is not, then just request that they remove it. As far as the CRAs, they can report for up to 7 years.
