Full Version: Question on interest on student loan
I have been on forebearance on my student loan for all 2008, which means evan though interest has accured I dont get to use that on my taxes right?
The student loan interest deduction is for interest paid, not interest accrued. If you didn't make any payments in 2008, you can't deduct any interest.
