My fiance's father was paying her student loans. She has $50k in student loans. The statements for these loans go to her father's house and he had been paying them for years.

Without telling her he stopped paying them. After 8 months of missed payments we realized what was going on because we ran her credit. Her credit is now ruined.

Is there anything we can do? The loans are all back in good standing now and being paid on time for 2 months now. But her credit score is very low. Can we somehow apeal to the credit bureaus? Any advice?

Borrowers are suppose to have the billing come to them....that is part of the term s of the prom note. Going to a parents address is technically a prom note violation. She will be stuck with them.
