My girlfriend I'm serious with and I met a year ago is in trouble with some medical bills that just popped up.
She has an accident in Nov 26, 2006. She got hit by a car. And the insurance company paid the medical bill but not all the medical bills. She didn't know about it untill now. The hospital call her today for two bills one for $2500 and another for $6000. Her credit will be ruined with collections on her credit!!! She didn't sue because she didn't know anything about lawsuit then.

Can she still sue the company so they can pay the bills? Is there a statue of limitation on accident injury lawsuit?

You should call a lawyer and discuss your options - I'm in NYC and I filed a lawsuit for a car accident just a little under a year after the incident. A lawyer took the case and won. All my medical bills were paid and I received about $25,000 for my pocket (about $16, 000+ after lawyer fees and such). Good luck.
