I need some help. BofA reported me to chex system and my account with first citizens is now being closed. I was told to go to a Navy fed because they don't use any typeof chex system...you just have to be military. Is this true? I need help and advice because I need a new bank ASAP for my direct deposit. I was also told FSNB would worl as well.

I had made payment options with BofA and they said as long as I kept with the agreement that all would be ok...we they lied! I am worried that I won't beable to get anaccount even with a credit union since my creditis not the best.

Where exactly do you live??? Yes Bank Of America lies. As far as FSNB, yes they will open an account and they do not use chexsystems but they do review your credit. Navy Federal CU does not use chexsystems and anyone that is eligible for membership there can get an account. It is an most excellent option.

Thank you for that info. Do you know if they use EWS? When I called they said that they use their own system...one that no one else has. I live in Jacksonville NC. I really just need to egt an account, it doesn't matter if it's only a savings account. I just need an account for the military to put my pay into.

Here is another question....what about Wood Forest BAnk in Walmart. Will they give anyone 2nd chance banking? Thank you for your help.
mca
yes WoodForest is your best option if you are local to them. They are very friendly and will help anyone reported to chexsystems. As far as Navy Federal using EWS, I have not heard that but anything is possible. MANY credit unions now do.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Before you can open an account with Woodforest National Bank we do run Telecheck and Chexsystems. If you have any unpaid closures reported by a merchant or another financial institution on either one of these reports you will only qualify for our Second Chance Checking account. You will be able to open an account with us as long as we are able to properly verify your identity and you do not have an unpaid charged off account with Woodforest National Bank. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
WNB Information

Special Notes:

2nd Chance account is $7.95 if you have direct deposit
$9.95 if you do not.

A $9 dollar account opening fee which is take from the account and a $12 dollar one time annual debit card fee is taken out so bring at least $22 (a dollar to open the account, when the promotion is over it's $25 to open per account) However, in 6 months or less, the branch determines if you can move to a regular account or open a savings in addition to the second chance account, regular accounts, you can open immediately!

(complimentary overdraft) requiring no credit will kick in after 30 days. It is $500 for direct deposit or $300 without it.

ALSO! Phone and Online banking are immediate overnight and they're open 7 days!

Do they use Telecheck?
mca
NO, THEY DO NOT use Telecheck. I am not aware of them using EWS either. I do know that so far no one has been turned down that I know of if they are eligible for membership. They also offer shared branching all over the US and Hawaii
