So yes, I bought 2000 shares of LEHMQ at $.079. Why you ask....well that's what I am still asking myself. I sold some metallica tickets for $300 more than I paid, and got $100 in AMEX gift cards a few days ago...so I had some extra cash. Yes it would have been better spent on other stuff.....

I guess I was missing the casino, cause this move was just as questionable as putting a few hundred down on one hand of balck jack at the $1 min table.......

Jim Cramer certainly doesn't approve. Next time you want to burn $160, can you just mail it to me instead?

Actually it might have been AIG Cramer was warning against. Still -- not sure the point, shareholders won't be getting anything.
bob02
last night he was all against AIG, and all for good dividend stocks.
I just remember him walking around with the YIELD sign stuck in his pants.
He made me feel better for once... the only stocks I have bought in the last year'ish were dividend plays.

Yeah, I didn't say I did a smart thing, it's a pure gamble.

I wonder if it would be almost "taboo" to talk about any good possibilites with AIG, lehman, etc.....not that there is too much good anyone can talk about.....
bob02
you could short it
that would have been good ohmy.gif

Holy crap! I usually don't make this bad of calls, this LEHMQ dog is dead!!! Why did I ever think this was a good idea smile.gif

However, I did make a good catch on IVFH last friday.....i bought 75,000 @.006 = $450, and sold 50,000 shares of it today at $.0180 for a profit of $450. I am going to keep the remaining 25,000 and hold for a little bit, see where this thing goes. I put a sell limit of .01 on it. So worst case i will come out $700 ahead on IVFH. (edit:) It could possibly go up to $1 within a year, boy that would be nice!

So if I ride out LEHMQ until it bottoms out at .001 or something like that....I will still come out ahead.

I usually don't go the penny stock route, but I kind of like it......

Dude, movements of those bottom of the barrel sub-penny stocks are simply random. Quit squandering your time and money on those, a blind monkey can make a mint buying real stocks now at these prices.

Oh, I understand the "bottom of the barrel sub-penny stocks" are ususally a huge crap shoot, and almost always end up with someone losing money. I had just never traded in that kind of market, and thought I would try it out. I never put in any money I am not willing to lose.....and obviously I made a few extra bucks by playing the penny stocks. I don't plan on making this a habit.

As far as other stocks, I have actually made some good buys already. My plan is to buy low and hold, and if by chance one of the stocks I buy shoots up in a real short period of time, I have sell limits already in place to execute the trade.
