Hi all,
I have been reading the boards for awhile, but this is my first time posting. I will be graduating in June with a bachelor's in Accounting. I have two private student loans that I will be looking to consolidate. Does anyone know of a good lender to apply through? Neither of my two lenders seem to offer consolidation loans for private loans. A google search turned up a lot of hits but I have never heard of half of these companies so am leery about applying.
I have decent credit scores and the loan balance is less then what I took out since I have been sending in a little money every month to at least pay the interest and a bit of principal. Any advice?

Private consolidation loans are getting hard to come by. Here's the best site I know to find and compare lenders:
http://www.finaid.org/loans/privateconsolidation.phtml. Six months or so ago, that list was probably at least 3 or 4 times longer. Underwriting standards for these loans are getting very strict and unless your credit is significantly better than it was when you got the loan, you probably won't see much of a benefit even if you're approved.

Thanks for the link. My credit is much better then when I started going to school so I will see what happens. I am just trying to avoid making three separate payments each month for the 2 private and one federal loan.
