Hello. I have an entry on my credit report from 7/04 (Date of First Delinquency). Because I'm in Florida and the Statute of Limitation is 4 years on most collections, the Medical CA took it upon themselves to change the Last Activity date to 7/4/08. Exactly 4 years from the DOFD. Now, I'm pretty sure the debt is mine, and I had requested verification from the CRA in January of 08 when I was trying to clean up my credit, at that time the DOLA showed as 2/11/07.

I have gone back to some other credit reports from March 08, and it appears the CA was incorrectly reporting the DOLA then too..

What can I do? When it updated this last time, it cost me 29 points in my score...

I have already completed the complaint with the FTC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
