I filed a complaint with the BBB against a collection agency and this is the response received today.

APEX is not reporting the actual medical client as the credit repositories do not allow this practice. APEX only reports “medical collection” without specification as to the actual creditor. This protocol was designated and implemented by the credit reporting industry itself and APEX has to conform to their procedures.

What does it mean and how do I reply? My med coll all state the original creditor on my credit report and none of them state medical collection.
I need to respond to the BBB

Have you tried the HIPAA letter program to get a deletion??
Opt out, delete old addresses, send the medical dispute letter, if verified send the medical DV for accounts reporting as "paid" send the follow up dispute letter.

The BBB is useless for credit repair.
