I rehabbed my student loan around 3 years ago and did the 9 monthly payments thing. My question is; where they supposed to remove the lates? I have 30, 60, 90 and 120 lates on my credit reports from Great Lakes Education. They always come back verified. When I try and call them they don't have any records of my loans because I don't think Great Lakes actually has the loans. My loan now is through Sun Trust Bank. Should I try calling them to see if they will remove?

Sounds like Great Lakes was your original lender. When you rehab a SL, the guarantor removes their negative marks from your CR but the lender is not required to. The lates will fall off gradually and their entire TL should be removed 7 years from the date the claim was paid.

How is it listed on your CR? If it's listed under Great Lakes as having the account and has their contact information for that account, you need to write to Great Lakes Education. Send it CMRRR and tell them what they have reported to the CRA's ask for deletion of the TL since they have no record of them on file. Now if Sun Trust Bank has the loan and is the one reporting the lates, you need to send them a letter via CMRRR with all your information about the rehab.
