I need $10,000 to help me cover my tuition and living costs, and was wondering if I will be approved with my current fico scores (see signature).

My credit history is just under 3 years old, with most recent collection being 2.5 years ago (total are 3 or 4 baddies). My current utilization is 65%, I will bring it down to less than 10% by next month.

I work part-time, $15,000 a year.

any idea if I can be approved without a co-signer?

thanks

Have you exhausted all your federal aid??

I dont mean to be negative, but I am in the same situation as you (need $10K and have 3 bad items) and I just received notification of cancellation of my GradPlus Loans based on a re-evaluation of my credit. ohmy.gif

Start clearing this up now.. if you apply, you might be able to provide proof you are working on the situation from the original creditors, and your tuition wont be held up like mine...

OP: I wasn't sure what you were asking. If you want to know if you can get a Chase private student loan with the credit info you supplied then no, that is not likely.

If you were looking for a Stafford or Consolidation loan and otherwise eligible, then yes you'd get approved by Chase or almost any other lender. Note that for federal loans the lender does NOT set terms such as interest rate, repayment period, or whether or not the government pays interest during periods of deferment.
