I have opted out and sent disputes to the three CRAs regarding address removal. TU removed the old address without any questions and I have since sent out Whychat's pre-hipaa dispute letter, I am waiting to hear back from them. EQ sent out a notice saying that I did not send them the correct documentation, so I resent a photo copy of my SS card and a pay stub which has my correct address, again I am waiting to hear back from them. EX sent me a new CR and stated "One or more of your credit grantors reported the address you questioned and it is a part of your credit history". My question is, should I try to get my "credit grantors" to change the address to my current one and try to get the old address removed again or should I just send the pre-hipaa dispute to EX? Thank you in advance!

If you have a CURRENT account reporting, ( not an old closed account) that does not have your new address, then yes, notify them of your current address.

If it is an old, closed or charged off account, just send the "pre-HIPAA" to Ex. without getting the address changed.

If the current account is the collection I am trying to remove I would not want to notify them of my current address, correct?

Your help is appreciated, however different people in different States may have different contact addresses for the 3 CRA's.
EVERYONE should use the address that is supplied on their own credit reports.

Sorry about that. How about answering my question from earlier.

If the current account is the collection I am trying to remove I would not want to notify them of my current address, correct?
