I have an item on my report who's "Date open" reads 11/2003

It's a collection agency, reporting for a hospital.

The total due, according to the credit report, is $156 (as of 2/2005).

I'm in California, and it's my understanding the statute of limitations is 4 years. Is this from the "Date Opened"? If so, this account is past SOL (SOL would have ended 11/2007).

Which letter do I proceed with in this case?

I've already deleted old addresses/names and opted out. Some old addresses the CRA's wouldn't delete.
