I just want to get some feedback to see if this collection is being reported correctly.

Backgroud:

Enrolled in UOP back in 2002 and was enrolled for about a year. I attended using a Stafford Loan and when the funds ran out I decided to transfer out because I kept hearing negative stories about the University. I transferred and UOP wasn't exactly pleased. Turns out I was 2 days late in being officially withdrawn and they said I had to pay for the class they enrolled me in. We fought about it for about a month because I really thought it was wrong but they wouldn't budge. So they sent the account to collections with General Revenue. (This was 9/2003) I figured it was best just to pay for the class and General Revenue agreed to a payment plan of $100 a month until paid in full. The account was paid in full back in 11/2004.

I thought everything was said and done and then all of a sudden UOP decided to report the account in 3/2005 to EQ and TU as a paid collection, zero balance, with a date of last activity/date of first delinquency as 11/2004. I disputed it and it came back verified. I called and e-mailed UOP but they said there was nothing they could do because it was being reported correctly and that they can report collections even after they are paid in full.

So my question is, is 11/2004 the correct date? Remember, this wasn't part of the Stafford loan, this was above and beyond that and straight from the school. General Revenue didn't report this, it is listed as Apollo Group/University of Phoenix. I do have collection letters from both UOP and General Revenue dated in 2003 proving that the date of first delinquency was in 2003 but the school refuses to budge.
