http://whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.htmlDon't deal with the CA at all, if this is a larger medical expense and it is truly a valid debt, and the CA and original medical provider have a "relationships." Then the Pre HIPPA dispute will tell you that.
You would be better off, setting up a saving account and making payments to that until you can pay the OC (original medical provider) in full and directly.
I did this with a medical collection I could afford to pay in full with the HIPPA process.
With any medical collection reporting to your CR, start with the steps above.
DON'T Communicate with the CA.
