Okay I filed bk7 in November 2007 and was discharged March 2008.
I have 4 Sallie Mae Loans and 3 Citi loans
I have no problems with Sallie Mae. Citi Is the issue. I have 3 loans with them.
1- Federal Subsidized Stafford $2,625.00
1- Federal Unsubsidized Stafford $4,000.00
1- Citi assist loan $735

I know Bk doesn't make them go away! The problem is the Citi assist loan was a private loan and all the payment I have made on the other 2 loans do not show up! I called Citi and used the voice it says my last payment of $10 was received on July 1st 2008. It then say my balance is $2321.56 dollars. My Citi assist loan was $735 dollars, after BK the jumped it up? There is no other info listed! When I log on to the web site It shows the Federal Subsidized Stafford and the Federal Unsubsidized Stafford . No payment history at all?

Are they collecting on a loan that was included in Bk? Is that legal? please help and idea is better than none. Since I can not call them since it is after hours. TIA

Yes but it was after hours, so I got no live person just the machine.

That's fine... call them this week and see what id going on.

So I called and my Citi assist loan was charged off. I guess through bk. All they wanted was to make payment arrangements. So Should I ? It was discharged.
They have the system set up to apply any incoming payments to the defaulted loan since my other 2 loans are in deferment.

Student loans, even private, are non dischargeable in BK.
They are probably behind in there paperwork....they will be after you soon enough....

well I think thats already happening. I have made payment arrangements and they sent me a few sheets of payment slips.
