Hello,

I have about $2000 in medical debt. I have not made any payments on it. I tried to deal with the hospital but the most they could offer me was $125/month, and I did not have that kind of money at that time. I asked if I could pay just $10/month, and they said their lawyers said they could (I think...can't remember) place it in Collections anyway. My friend said this is not true; she makes $5/month payments on hers. I live in the state of TX.

I am willing to pay the full amount so long as each is removed from my credit report.

I know about the HIPPA and the verification letter, but I was wondering if that would work for me since I already spoke to the bill collector. I just told them to remove my mother's name from my bill because that was not mine.

Thanks guys.

Have you tried to get a reduction in your bill from the hospital?? Have you tried to qualify for assistance?? What do you mean by

Opt out, delete old addresses if you have moved, send the medical dispute letter to any CRA where any medical account of any kind is reporting on YOUR reports.

If you get FULL verification of YOUR account from the reporting CA, then pay the hospital directly with the HIPAA letter, insert "a". Be SURE to read and FOLLOW all the directions.

Yes I tried to ask the hospital for assistance but with the "issue" that I have, I never signed and returned it; only filled it out. I just checked my credit report, and for some reason, I think they are gone?
