I have one question. Once i submit the required documents, will i be approved?

With 2 negatives on my CR and 1 NSF in chexsystems, i could use a credit union for a car loan. Hopefully i get some good rates.

I don't have my SSC on me. So, i won't be able to fax the documents til tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

It sounds like you are approved yes. How did you qualify for membership?

Last I checked Patelco uses Chex. careful, they may have not run you through yet since it's only a "pre-approval subject to their terms and conditions"
oscaro
Did you get the account?
mca
unfortunately many times banks and credit unions wait and run chexsystems at a later time then deny or close the account, so yes be cautious

It is possible to obtain an account with Patelco even though you've been reported to Chex Systems, however it will matter what you were reported for. I am unable to give you a definite answer unless you actually apply for an account and we review an updated report. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for contacting Patelco Credit Union.

That is great news! They just opened a branch near me and I wanted to open an account. Did you do all of this online?

If there is an outstanding ChexSystems, isn't that based on a combination of SSN, DL# and/or current address?

I am curious, as I have a two year old NSF that should be cleared up, but I want to address it first with Chex before I pursue the Patelco account.

Thanks!!

One warning about Patelco..only deposit funds at Patelco branches, not at any of their "co-ops". I have deposited twice at Bank of the West and neither deposit made it into my account until I threw a fit. Overall, I am very satisfied with them, however.
