Full Version: Qualifying for Student Loans with High Income & GI Bill
CreditBoards > Financing > Student Loans

Hi all!

I currently have my GI Bill available to me and have a fairly high income, are we folks automatically disincluded from being able to receive student loans? Or at the very least, only unsubsidized loans? Obviously I wouldn't qualify for grants but that's ok.

TIA!

Your GI Bill benefits won't prevent you from qualifying for loans since that money isn't treated like financial aid. And just about anyone should be able to qualify for an unsubsidized Stafford because it's not really need-based and you can use it to replace part or all of your EFC.

Thanks for your service.
