Did you file the form WITH your original tax filing or separate? I did mine separate and even though I efiled the return, and put DD on it, since I mailed in the inj spouse form, they said they are mailing both the rebate and the refund. (mine will go out supposedly on the 9th. both the refund and the rebate.)

Mines didn't come; however, I'm originally scheduled for may 9. While I'm not in any rush, it feels real nice to have extra cash in my hand (and given to others in the same fell swoop).

But this is what I'm going to do with my check:

1. Register to take the GMAT (I hate standardized test with a passion) - $250
2. Car Brakes, Oil Change and Gas up - $200
3. The rest on a CC. - $150

I wish I could apply all the money to my trip in July, but I might as well get this crap out the way first.

I'm -12, haven't seen it yet and not looking everyday for it either tongue.gif

I'm 95(I know I'm the end of the spectrum) but for some reason on the site it still mentions I made a mistake.

A CO worker of mine just got his 1800 his last two or 20. I have not got mine but my last two are 10 above his minus 9 times 5!!
sureshot
Haven't gotten mine yet.

Last two are 12. I filed in Feb. and got my direct deposit a few weeks later, no issues.

The "Check your payment" utility says I may have made an error? WTF!

Ditto...however, I had mine DD'd to two different checking accounts, so I now have to wait for a paper check.

Did either of you do that by any chance?

I used the "Where's My Stimulus Payment" link and I notice this

"Remember, in order to qualify for the Stimulus Payment, you
must have filed your 2007 tax return more than 6 weeks ago."

Notice they use the word "qualify"? They didn't send the form with instructions until 3 1/2 weeks ago.

It gets to the last page and says all of the "We're sorry" stuff and then gives this reminder;
"You did not submit a 2007 return as of 6 weeks ago, so you may not "qualify" for a stimulus payment.
Huh? Our instructions said we needed to turn it in before Apr 15 2008 or Oct 18 2008.
Right hand knows not what the left hand does! laugh.gif

Got mine today as originally scheduled! cool.gif

I've checked the irs website to check on the stimulus payment date , and they still have no
info. The last two digits of my ss#49.

From my past years experience with the Where's My Refund link on irs.gov, that status is usually not updated until 2 days before the the DD is scheduled. Me and my wife end in 22 and 29 so hopefully we got ours next week so we can stimulate some of our bills.
IheartLoopHoles
Do the direct deposits only happen in the morning, or do they happen throughout the day?
squirrelgirl
My money got deposited this morning. I've already allocated 2/3 of it to the proper savings accounts. The rest... well, I'll stimulate the economy wink.gif
micthepoet
So if we do not get our DD today does that mean there is a problem or are they still DDing throughout the next several weeks?
Steve_
Blah, I owe the feds $160 for taxes this year, and I forgot to mail my check out for it -- do you know if (and when?) they'd take it out of my stimulus payment?

In the next couple of weeks they will be sent out.

for those getting the answer - you may have made a mistake, this is a doublecheck screen - you have to hit the continue button to get a response. Everyone gets the you may have made a mistake screen.

I asked a similar question a few pages back.

Does this mean if you didn't file by March 1 (or 15 or whatever), you don't qualify? I'll be mighty po'd if that's the case.
LadyElan
I hit the continue button and get this: We are sorry, but we cannot provide the status of your Stimulus payment. Please check the Payment Schedule available on our web site.

I don't think this is true. I've spoken with people that have had the "Your check is scheduled..." window appear immediately.

I'm afraid I won't be able to pay off a CC as soon as I had hoped sad.gif

I spoke with the IRS and found out that because I had my preparation fees deducted from my refund as oppose to paying them upfront that I will be receiving a paper check. I used OLT.com and used SBBT RT in which the IRS paid them and they deposited the money in my account. The lady told me that my check should be going out on the 16th.

It should come normally minus what ever you owe.

What an efficient government we have! The original date for my refund was 5/9, then they were a week early and going to do it 5/5. Instead, I got it today, Saturday, 5/3!

I did the same thing with Turbotax, DH's last 2 are 86, July 4th! Holy crap! I know its not TT's fault but its enough to make me not use them again smile.gif
FMJnaX
So this thing with TurboTax... how do you determine if you get a paper check or direct deposit? We have been using TT for the past 5 years with Direct Deposit. Our return has our bank information on it directly. I can't recall if we had the fees deducted or if we paid for them upfront. Any way to know for sure if you are getting a paper check or a DD? Last 2 is 71, when I use the "Where's my rebate" I get the error message, and my on-line banking doesn't show any scheduled deposit. sad.gif
UncleRico
Turbo Tax people will get a paper check if they had their fees deducted from their refund.

I am 62 with direct deposit and I get the same error. I did not use Turbo Tax so hopefully i will get it by the scheduled May 9 deposit??
FMJnaX
Ouch. Looks like I'm a paper-check receiver then. Wife says we have always deducted fees from the refund itself. Hope my truck tires will hold up the extra couple of months. smile.gif

all direct deposits are supposed to be done by may 2. and paper checks started next friday. direct deposits done all next week except thursday. most will be done on friday though.

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Taxes...ebateCheck.aspx

I think this is what is confusing everyone. I think this MSN article is incorrect because it says all dds will be done by May 2. NOWHERE else does it say that - no other news stories nor the IRS Web site. It just says everything is going out a few days earlier than originally planned. So if you were supposed to get it by May 16 then you should get it around May 11.

If we all get it next week, great. But if not, I hate to see people counting on it - because I'm not sure that's the plan exactly IMO

All DD by May 9th. That's my understanding.

GL to all who havent got theirs yet

last two are 80...still nothing - still error message on IRS' site. I really wish Moneycentral hadn't given me false hope like that. I wouldn't be so anxious to get it NOW if it hadn't. tongue.gif

That would be great! The Money Central graphic says all dds by May 2 and I think that's been a bit "stimulating" here on the board.

Ok - now I'm really confused...

My last 2 SSN are 45. IRS just gives me that same message that everyone else is getting about "not having any information." So how is it that some people with digits higher than mine got their money Friday and I haven't gotten mine yet.

My return was filed in March, I'm single head of household with 2 kids.

Aren't they going in number order or something?

Interesting...

I am 62, I had DD (filed myself) I wonder if my amended return has something to do with it?
InfamousNY
I got the same message as well.
nmtechie
Has anyone who filed using 1040 (not EZ or A) and falls in the first or even second group receive notice that their rebate will be DD?

I'm wondering. My mom's SSN ends in 31 and she gets the same #@$ message I get. She filed electronically using form 1040 in January, had 0220 Tax Refund as her DD for deposit.

I had to file using form 1040 also.

stressedtothemax
Same message here too.
Jon77
I'm 64, so I should be getting mine by this friday I suppose.
I filed with H&R Block and used DD. I think it was free, so I think I should get it right away with DD.
