Challenged
Well here is my story. Back in 06 I had a rough time broke up with my ex and burned a lot of bridges so I left to start a new life blah blah blah. Well I get to where I'm going and I get a letter in the mail that my acct is overdrawn and I owed 400 some odd dollars to WAMU in overdraft. So with my first paycheck 2 weeks later I pay the balance off. I find out that the acct has been closed and sent to check systems. I ask them nicely to remove the complaint from check systems, they say no it is against their policy. I ask them again not so nicely and escallate to a manager and go through the whole speal. They have yet to remove it. They are the only mark I have on checksystems, is there anything I can do? mad.gif I am so pissed off. mad.gif aggressive.gif

WAMU is almost impossible when it comes to being removed. I would get a copy of your report, see if it is accurtate and then file a dispute with first chexsystems and then the bank itself if chexsystems does not remove you. Also make a complaint to the OCC

Thank you for your input. I will give that a try.

Update: I spoke with an executive today (I guess they have this panel to review accts) and he stated that my issue was still under investigation and that he would be contacting me back shortly. (I escallated this while at the bank as far as I could and they gave me a number to call, I guess this is them getting back to me.) Think there is any chane they will over turn? They are the only ding i have on the checksystems, will they see this?

No, chances are they are just reviewing their own records. Many times if you go as far as you have and get an executive or a district supervisor involved, you will have a good chance of being helped. Definitely more so than dealing with a branch manager. Stress to them that Being listed in Chexsystems SEVERELY (if not completely) restricts your banking abilities. The reason I say that is because it should make them think that this is how you can prove damages if you should ever sue them ..that may scare them a bit
