Applied for personal account w/ Provident Bank online last week. Received letter dated March 27th: "Unfortunately at this time we are unable to open your account due to information on file with ChexSystems, Inc. a National Network for Account Verification and Collection Services." (side note, had Bank of America fees IIB over 5 yrs ago, found out in Sept 2007 when trying to open an account @ M&T Bank that BoA was still reporting outstanding balance. Sent BoA bankruptcy papers & they still refuse to remove me from their system)

Applied this evening for personal account w/ SunTrust bank online. Application accepted & online access set-up w/in 5 minutes.

file a dispute with chexsystems regardless......... after 5 years they will automatically remove you ( the bank will not )
