Hello marv I was just wondering and anyone else for that matters thats in the finance business but what is the worst score you have gotten approved with a strong co signer and through which bank? Also how often does it work if you put just the cosigner on alone first then send in to get an approval and say you forgot you have a co applicant and add them and still approved? Thanks
How do you "forget" you have a coapplicant? Just a minor detail? lol

lol I dont know I just remember seeing it in another post the other day as a way of obtaining a hard approval I guess.
Well, I don't think that is a question that anyone here is going to answer. I find it quite questionable and we aren't going there on this site.

I'm sure there are situations where adding an applicant after the primary has been approved might be appropriate and others where it is not, but I doubt there are any statistics on the re-approval rates. Depends on the exact situation I'm sure.
I don' t believe further discussion of it will provide any additional information.

Recently, I got a guy and his wife approved with sub 500 scores, through Americredit.
There are lenders who will approve anyone with any score, like Drive Financial Services. One interest rate (24.99), huge acquisition fees, etc...
I have never seen someone get an approval with "just the co-signer" and then say "oops, I forgot the co-app" in my 5+ years in the biz. IMO, once the terms change, the approval is no longer valid. Most F&I guys value their jobs a little bit more than to play stupid games with the finance companies.
