Does anyone know of a bank that only checks the primary? Or an acct that will allow a single to open and then add a signer without using chex because its already an established acct?

Thank you smile.gif

most banks will run chex on all applicants and signers even if they are added later, you might want to try a local cu. good luck!

my old credit union does not check the secondary holder but you have to live in the panhandle of Florida

Yep,,,dh is in chex and I'm the primary. I just had him added on. They ran him and declined him.

I just received the payoff letter from our old bank. Totally MY fault, he had no clue, all this for what started as a small payment on a closed account. ohmy.gif

It's all take care of. You probably need that payoff letter.

please remember, paying will not remove you from chexsystems. If you are paying for removal, always get it in writing.
