Like many I have a defaulted student loan. Mine is with Sallie Mae. I recently paid off one defaulted loan and I have this one left. I think it's a private loan but I'm not sure. At one time I had a pin number for the gov site and the Sallie Mae loan was not listed. Is it at all possible that it is a gov backed loan and not on that site? The reasoning being that I'd prefer rehab and a credit boost over just paying it back. Thanks for any help.
