I called Windham Pro. today because the last rehab payment was made yesterday. The "gentleman" (using this term loosely) on the phone said it was required I set up 2 post dated payments - is this true? I have not read anything regarding this... I asked if they mean I needed to make payments in the time between it's out or rehab and being funded, he said yes, but I need to make post dated payments TODAY.

Also, he said he needed to fill out data so the loan can be sent to be funded, and said he required my husband's place of employment. I told him I wasn't comfortable giving that information - that he is employed full time and payments will be made. Am I required to provide them with this info?

Thanks for the help!

When I was collecting, I would always get one or two extra post dated checks just in case the rehab took longer than normal.

If you are not employed, under employed or have a high balance then your husbands employment may be required. They are giving you a new loan....they simply want proof that you are capable of paying it without defaulting again.

Thanks Lynn for responding.

I'm assuming that if I give them 2 post dated payments and the loan gets funded before then or in between, they will NOT process payment since I will be paying the new lender?

His balance is $8k and is employed full time - I just don't see it being a risk factor in that they need his employer's info... not exactly sure what it changes anyways - I mean, if he works at a certain place he is more/less likely to pay?

This is his loan? I thought it was yours. Then of course you HAVE to give employment information. Do you know any other company that will write a loan without valid employment information??

No, I agree with that - the guy at Windham was just being slimey about it. It's not like they verify employment (he said), so then what does it matter if he works for McDonald's or Microsoft?

It is called FRAUD if you dont list a current employer when asked. If they call and find out that her was never employed at the listed company, they could immediately redefault the loan.

I wouldn't lie to them - I just didn't see how it's relevant if they aren't checking the data and the payments are being paid. They sure didn't seem to have an itch to get the info while they were getting their money. If it was so important, I would wonder why they didn't want the info 9 months ago.

I'm not, and I don't intend on committing fraud.
