I recently had to go to the emergency room. I have no insurance so I knew I'd have to deal with the Hospital on that later. About a week or two later I started getting calls from MedAssist. I finally called them back this morning and learned that they basically are a 3rd party company that determines if uninsured patients are eligible for Medicaid or Disability requirements. Since it was pretty obvious that I am not eligible with one simple question I can't fathom why the hospital pawned me off to them in the first place. Anyways, my question is whether this is a violation.
