It depends, how old are these accounts?? Do you have ANY indication from the OC that they turned these over to the reporting CA??Are they hospital accounts?? Do you have any original bills from the OC??

IF you are reasonably sure that the accounts are being reported accurately by a direct assignment from the OC to the reporting CA and the amounts match recent bills directly from the OC, then yes go ahead and pay the OC with the HIPAA letter.

If the accounts are over 4 years old and NOT from a hospital or other type of Gov. supported health care provider, then send the CA the medical DV.

Why Chat I got the same response from the CRA. I don't have the details of the orignal bill and I am sure it is not more then 4 years old.

What should I do next?
