I have quite a large of amount in student loans that have been in default and are now in wage garnishment.

I have been offered a new job and do not wish to carry this garnishment with me. Does anyone know anything about ASGARD financial?

Apparently they take the loans out of garnishment/default and start you with a new loan.

I have a few problems with this:

1. they only have a website, no phone to contact them.
2. they want money up front for consultation 350.00

I don't want to pay that kind of money if i'm signing the deal with the devil. Anyone help??

This company is not a lender. They simply refer you or help you fill out a consolidation loan application. However they fail to mention that you cannot consolidate while under garnishment.

At this point your only option is to rehab your loans to stop the garnishment....however that will take about 9-10 months of payments over and above what you are already being garnished.

Run quickly from this company.....do NOT waste your money.

I read the website. Being a former student loan collector and FA officer, I have heard of these types of companies. They charge you thru the nose to fill out an application that you could do in 30 minutes tops.

You do not have to tell the new job anything. When it happens, it happens. You cannot be fired for a garnishment.

Thank you very much!! So there is pretty much no company out there that will consolidate a loan in garnishment?

I wish I knew why this company advertises it can get a person out of garnishment. That's the part I don't understand.

Any input there?

This company will advise you to make the rehab payments to get out of default.

To consolidate within the federal system, you cannot be in garnishment.

I wish I had seen this site before I tried their services. I now have a unresolved complaint against them at:
