I have a medical collection that shouldn't be a collection at all. The original bill was for $83, my insurance paid $28.40. The remaining $54.60 says it was a contract adjustment and patient is not reponsible. NCO shows this on my credit report as an original debt of $83, current balance $55. Should I send NCO a copy of my insurance form stating that I am not reponsible for this debt, or should I contact the OC? This OC is a pain in the butt as they send something to collections almost immediately. This bill was paid by the insurance 9/30/05. NCO lists the date as 3/07/05 and last updated on 11/04/07. What would my best course of action be?

Thanks
