Does apple tracking policy violate credit card policies?

I wish every retailer took credit/debit only, and eliminated cash

ETA: Unless you're a mindless policy-bot, you support not asking for ID as a matter of personal protection and privacy, knowing that there is potential for misuse of such information. If so, then you should also support those who choose to transact in cash for the same reasons. Otherwise, you're just a hypocrite.

I dont see a problem with it.

A person goes in and buys 10 iPhones and resells them, for more money. They want to check on who's banking on their product. Hell I wish the same thing happened when PS3's, 360's and Wii's went on sale.

I'm tired of people buying up all the supply to make money when they arent even a business.

Cash costs money to print, transport, count, deposit, etc...

Our society wastes money by using cash.

B.S. "Credit" also costs money to count and "deposit" and deal with... not to mention the extra/separate fees involved that cash doesn't have. It's a wash. Sounds like just as much "waste" to me. Our entire society revolves around waste for the sake of convenience. Why the selective hard-on against cash when credit is equally "wasteful"?

Here is some info.
Germany is mostly a cash country. They do take some credit cards.

They do have the EC (Electronic cash) card. Because of complaints from travelers they have merged with the Maestro Network. This way travelers can use the Maestro card if their home bank supports foreign pin transactions.

When I go out with a couple credit cards I have $20k in spending power and I don't have to worry about losing money if I am mugged.

If I go around with $20k in cash...

Ok. Fair enough. So why do you want to impose your preferences on others and deny them the freedom to choose?

Assuming you mean $20,000 in cash who would carry that much?

If you get mugged you would have zero speeding power no matter what you had on you.
