My mortgage broker pulled my credit yesterday and my husband's paid medical collection account was deleted from my Experian report!!! Our scores jumped almost 100 points to 777-783 for all three CRAs now!!!

HUGE thank you to this forum and to Why Chat for providing the instructions and letter formats!

This is what I did, for those that are wondering.

Used Why Chat's medical dispute letter to the CRA, sent certified mail in late August. Since I had disputed this account online last year on MY report, EX didn't bother and sent me the form letter the SAME day saying "we already verified this, tough luck." For my DH's they send me a form letter, then 10 days later sent me another saying they deleted it off his account.

Since I had paid the CA, not the OC, I couldn't go the HIPPA route, so I used the medical DV/SOL letter to the CA, certified mail return receipt. Upon receiving the RR, I mailed the follow up dispute letter to the CRA again, certified mail. Heard back from the CA with the papers. No word from the CRA yet. Checked Monday and the account was still there. Checked yesterday and it's GONE! Less than 40 days to get this all off!!

I'm on cloud 9!!

Woohooo! CONGRATS!!! WhyChat is a ROCK STAR for sure!

I'm in my 'waiting for a response' mode from the CRA right now -- I'm hoping and praying I can do my happy dance soon as well.

I feel so excitement the same has happen for me this week as well w/the hippa process on a pd med! The way it happen for me is on Tues it was off my EXP, on Thur it was off my EQ, it was still on my TU yesterday (i havent pull today). Is this the way it came off yours are did they all delete on the same day?
I'm just trying to see if this is normal or is it still stuck on my TU and whether r not i need to continue the fight by sending the CRA my greencard.

Thanks for the info. I am having the worst time getting mine removed from EX, and my medical provider states that she asked the CA to remove the item.

The collection was only listed on EX for us. So I assume there's still time as they're processing paperwork and such, dizyaboi. Once you hit the 30 day response mark, you know it's time to take the next step if you haven't heard anything. Good luck!!
