Does anyone know any avenues to go through to reduce my debt to a private university, namely, DeVry? I know I'm going to have to end up paying them, or there lapdog loan collection agency, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be effective to use any of the consumer agencies to lower my debt to them?

Is this for a tuition account or a loan? Federal or private??

Either way with federal or private loans, you are going to have a hard time reducing your debt unless you are looking to settle the account in full with a one time payment. With loans, Devry is already paid and you now owe a third party.

Student loans do not participate in consumer agencie programs like CCCS.
