I have a dentist bill I have been paying $20/week on since 01/07. Total outstanding balance is apprx. $2800 which I can't pay upfront. My dentist is now telling me they can't carry this balance any longer and I need to apply for a loan with Creditcare through them or someone else or they will turn me into collections. Can they do this?

Yes they can, unless your $20/week payment was in a written contract that you entered into before having the work done.
