Thanks for replying. Yes, it is one of the ones on my credit report. It is one of the many that I'm working on. It was from June of 2006 and I was 39 years old at the time. I used to work for her (still do) out of her house (real business, real office). So technically she's my boss. She did not say whether they called the business line or her house line, but I think it is most likely the business line as I probably would have listed that as my employment.
Well, technically they didn't have permission to provide private medical data to your mother/employer, however, unless she recorded the conversation you have little leverage.
I suggest you opt out and get as much "old" invalid information deleted from your reports as possible before continuing on your credit repair.
If you believe they might call again, and they are calling on a business line,( phone is answered "xyz Company") you can record the conversation. If they are calling on a residential line you need to advise them that the call is being recorded unless you are in a 1 party State and are SURE that they are calling from within your State.( Taping laws are listed on my website under misc. legal stuff)
