I went through rehab on my student loans about three years ago. Once I completed it, the info fell off two of the CA listings on my CR. However, TransUnion is still showing them...

How can I go about having them removed? Am I able to since I completed rehab and the same company picked my loans back up after the fact, and the updated loans are shown further down in my credit report?

Okay answered my own question here. I called the number for USA on my credit report and Sallie Mae answered. They now control the loans from this company. Once I explained the problem, the CSA was soooo nice and said they didn't belong there anymore because I had rehabbed. She sent a letter out to all three credit agencies and carbon copied me on it so I have it for future reference. SHould be gone from my report in 30-60 days.

When in doubt, call and just ask them to remove. smile.gif

FYI, USA Funds outsources almost all their actual work to SLMA.

Under federal law the USAF default lines should have been removed within 90 days of your rehab loan sale to an eligible lender. That's why SLMA was so nice and proactive in getting it removed.

It should have been removed years ago.
