The Financial Aide Advisor told me it be like $8 monthly so I said YES ! But after doing some research I am not really sure how this is possble. I am borrowing $7,500 the first term at a 5.2 interest rate

Actually the interest is about $1.07 a day.
There is no such thing as a subsidized loan at 5.2% that accrues interest while in school.

Would it be in my best interest to change it

I would change it. You can always still pay it, if you say no... but you can't not pay it if you say yes...

Have you processed an In-School Deferment request for your Subsidized Student Loan(s) yet?
