From prior posts, I understand that USA Group Loan Services is now Sallie Mae. I have loans under Sallie mae and those are fine...

The problem is that I have 5-6 loans being reports under USA Group Loan Services which are reporting scheduled payments on these loans, but Balance amount of zero. The balance part is right, so how the heck can they report a minimum payment?

I talked to a mortgage broker and their underwritter said it shows a payment so it has to be included in DIT calculations sad.gif ... They can't comprehend the zero balance portion reporting on EQ (The other two are reporting fine smile.gif ).

When you call the # listed for them, obviously Sallie Mae answers.

Seems like an easy dispute. Send letter disputing minimum payment, since balance is zero?
Cynic
1). Mortgage underwriters (or their company) are morons if they need to include monthly payments on a debt that has a balance of 0.00

2) Disputing monthly payment amount seems appropriate...historical data shold be there, but not something that indicates that you have current monthly payment amounts due.

I went ahead and disputed w/cra, indicating there are no min payments nor balance on these loans. There is nothing to verify, so I imagine it will be an easy delete
