I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this....i am on a deferred icr direct consolidation loan...they regularly ask to fill out that dang form about how much me and dh make and paystubs...no problem...I honestly did it all about 7 weeks ago...I know how they are so i made sure everything was signed and legible. a week after that got another paper saying the previous paper was incomplete and needed...blank...Nothing needed...i figured..probably typo..or crossed in mail...whatever.

fast forward to today...open mail....DUNNING LETTER DEMANDING 24K PIF W/I 30 days of letter or default. If they don't receive requested info w/i that time or pif ...then default.

"you are ignored our reguest for information , therefore ....blah blah ..."

WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THE INFORMATION YOU SEND THEM>>???????????????
seriously....i'm almost having a stroke here....so i go around scrambling again today getting more paystubs for me and dh...but i almost want a physical address to overnight with proof of service them after getting that letter. All the letter had was a po box.

edit to add that the letter also says it doesnt matter if you are in deferment, it will still default b/c it is a direct consolidation loan under icr??!!!
any suggestions.???? I'm going for a refi this summer and this cannot be an issue. sad.gif

What are your grounds for deferment?? You talk about both of you having paychecks so it appears both are working. The purpose of ICR is suppose to be Income Contingent....thus the payment is based as a portion of your income. This could be the issue. Haved you called them???

i'm in school and working. Now that i've sat and calmed down...I have another smaller direct consolidation loan (they messed up and didn't lump them into one when originally done) and i'm thinking they may have sent the first form for that one...but you'd think they'd apply the info to both my loans since they're under the ssn.? I've sent that paper back over the course of the past 2 years plenty of times and never had an issue until now. Nothing has changed since we did the consolidation...same jobs, pay ect. I will call them Monday to see if I could fax the info to ensure receipt.. Thanks Lynn!
