I went to pick up my SL check on Jan 12. It was not there. They told me to come back on the 19. I called on the 19 and the school said they had not received the funds. I called my lender and was told there had been a mistake and they would get them right out. Monday the school had not gotten it so I called the lender again. They said the school would have it by Wed. at the latest. On Wed. the school had not gotten it. I called the lender back and was told they would have it by Thurs. morning. Thurs still no money. I called yesterday afternoon and was told it was scheduled to be sent between three and four. This morning I called to make sure I had a check waiting at the school. (They only print them on Friday mornings). Still no money from the bank. I called the bank back a few minutes ago and she said she was not sure what was going on and would call me back. No one seems to know why my money is not getting sent. My main issue is I took this loan to pay day care while I was in school and now my kids are going to loose there spot. I can not afford to pay it this week. If they loose their spot I will be forced to drop out. Even if they get the money sent today I still will not get a check for another week. The school said if they do not receive the money by Thurday night the check will not be wrote until the following Friday. This is such a mess.

Have you talked to people up the hierarchy at the bank?? Have you talked to someone higher up in the FA office?? Director of FA?? Does your school have an emergency loan program. A lot of schools have them to tide students over in situtations like this.
