Full Version: Meters may break credit cards' rules

I used mine at a meter when I was visiting my old home. This meter had a $1 minimum but that applied to ALL forms of payment ( it was like 25 cents per 15 min, 1 hr min.)

The problem with those meters is:

1) You can't get change back from a dollar bill. If you only need 50 cents worth of time, too bad.

2) It only lets you use a credit card to buy $2 worth of time.

What they need to do is let you pick how much time you want and then you can use the credit card (so anything from $0.25 --> $2.00)
