I have three closed and transfered student loans I consolidated. My problem is that I need to know how come on my credit report it is still showing. The report says current, but the bottom of each account shows from June 03-May 05, and it reports October 04 - march 05 as late.

Condition: Closed (Transferred) Closed (Transferred) Closed (Transferred)
Balance: $0 $0
Type: Educational Educational Educational
Pay Status: Current Current Current
Past Due: $0
High Balance: $1578 $1578 $1578
Terms: 114 months 114 months
Limit:
Opened: 03/21/2002 03/2002 03/2002
Reported: 04/30/2005 05/31/2005 05/2005
Responsibility: Individual Individual Individual

Late Payments (last 7 years):
30 Days Late: 0 0 0
60 Days Late: 1 1 1
90 Days Late: 4 4 4

From my opinion, shouldnt these lates be moving to the bottom and blanks be showing up with 2007? Will the lender see this as bad? i mean it's 11/06...SO technically Ive been good for two years almost. Am I jumping for no reason or should I take steps to get it updated or...WTH What should I do?

That's what I thought too but I think (I fear) that the TL needs to be actively report on by the company in order for it to move. One goes in (for Novemeber 2006) one goes off (form November 2005). If nothing goes in then nothing goes off. That the trend that I am noticing. I have a few closed account that were in good standing. I have a 2004 30day late that hasn't move a bit. Unfortunately, student loans aren't easy to remove even if its been paid off. Let me know if you find out anything that may help.

Are you stupid or something? It's valied reporting. Closed/ xferred is correct reporting from the prev lendor. The fact that your loan is "still showing" is because A) they had a loan with you cool.gif they report your status and past delinquency. It will be "still showing" for 7 years from the date on which you most recently went delinquent.

Hey Cynic, for someone who has been posting for 5 minutes, I'd highly advise you to get a check on your attitude and the name calling.

I have already reported this troll.

Well excuse me, but one of the loans I had which was paid at the same time with the same occurences moves and the occurences are close to falling off. So my thought was why hadnt these particualr loans moved down it time. No one is dense, I already know they will be on my report for seven years, but my reports should be showing recent dates 2005 and 2006 not the latest as 2005.

So from a experienced CB member, can you tell mewhat I coudl possibly do? Should I hit the CRA's for an update or shoudl I call AES?

What your report is showing is a snapshot of your status on the day the loan was consolidated. Your loan may have been current at that time but you had lates in the history which they are reflecting. Your first late would not be due to age off until 2009 and so on. So from what I am seeing they are reporting accurately.
