I'm hoping for some help/advice as to what action I can take on the following situation.

In reviewing my credit report, I have noticed that I have a total of 7 student loans reporting. My question is can I have any of these removed or corrected or combined?

This one below is from EX but it's similar on all 3 CRAs.

A)
4 separate listings of the below references:

SALLIE MAE 3RD PTY LSC (Individual)
Date Opened June, 2000
Date of Last Activity June, 2002
Description Account transferred or sold

On these 4 listings, due to a period of unemployment, I got behind on payment and so it shows 90, 120 and 150 days late in 2002 before I got it back on track.


2 listings of the following:

ACS/NELLIE MAE (Individual)
Date Opened August, 1992
Date of Status June, 2000
Last Payment Date Not on Record
Loan Type Education Loan
Collateral
Description Account closed due to transfer or refinance
Payment history shows "as agreed" but also says Seven Year Payment History

Then, the final listing (the one I'm actually paying on and that is current)

C)
SALLIE MAE 3RD PTY LSC (Individual)
Date Opened July, 2002
Date of Status October, 2006
Last Payment Date October, 2006
Loan Type Education Loan
This is an account in good standing
and again, with the...Seven Year Payment History


Is there anything I can do regarding this? Especially, the 4 reporting the late pays...I know they roll off in 2008...but, if there's anything I can do at this time?

One more thing, ONLY on my EQ CR, it also lists the below account 2 times -- but not on any other CR:

Hate to tell you this, but with Student Loans, you're more or less stuck.

Asking for verification can make the dates change, and you have no recourse if they do, because they are the government, and if they report, it must be right.

Exactly how many student loans did you take out? And how much do you owe on them?
