Full Version: NCO Rehab Payment Plan Letter
CreditBoards > Financing > Student Loans

Ok I made my first payment in my rehab program so I got the repayment plan letter that you have to sign and send back. Things look fine until I notice this:

This letter confirms my acceptance into the loan rehabilitation program and my agreement to repay my defaulted Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL).

I have never had a FFEL , my loans are all Direct Unsub. I have a print out from Direct loans to prove it.

Has anyone had this happen?

I don't want to sign the paper with the wrong type of loan. I am going to call NCO on Monday.

I called NCO and they did not think that the fact that the type of loan on my letter was different. The guy gave me a number to call and it was Department of Education's Debt Collection Service (DCS). I called them and they told me not to sign the payment agreement b/c it would have messed everything up. The DOE does have me down on a rehab program so if NCO tries to screw me I can always call DCS and make a payment with them. Just an FYI to others if they find themselves in the same situation.
