I have a Student loan from back in the mid 90's maybe eariler. In 2000 I filed bankruptcy, my question is this loan covered in the BKC relief or? It was a Stafford Loan through Bank One, now it's being serviced by AES (American Educational Services). Any Ideas? Do they have any right to try to collect?

Student loans are not discharged in BK. They do have the right to collect, and they will do so.

The laws changed in October 1989...up until that point if you had been in repayment for 7 years, the loan would have been dischargable. Since you filled in 2000,the loan is fully collectable.
