I've read in several posts that the university you attended and hence got federal loans through somehow has a say in how lates are reported. Can someone chime in here and give a little more info on that? I'm wondering if I could get the university in on a dispute if it would help or not....

The only Federal loans any school has any involvement in reporting are Perkins loans. They would follow the federal reporting guidelines.
